Insurance excess, and the price of zero excess
4 of 13 companies include zero excess in the standard price: Cars4rent, Cheap Car Rental, OG Drive, Pro Auto Rent. Elsewhere, removing the excess costs 25–45 GEL a day at RentUp, €8 a day at WeRent and about $5–15 a day at Citty (Russian FAQ), and 5 companies publish no price for one. Tyres are the exclusion to check first.

- Grouped: zero excess included, then paid or conflicting options, then none priced; within groups by road-trip score, then 4WD share and Google reviews.

How to read “full insurance” in Georgia
Almost every operator advertises full insurance. What differs is the excess, the exclusions and whether a deposit is held against them. A cover with zero excess but a charge of up to €150 per tyre can cost more on a gravel-road trip than a cover with a small excess that includes tyres. Read the exclusions column before the headline.
Third-party liability
Published third-party limits range from $10,000 at Cheap Car Rental to $100,000 at Cars4rent, whose own pages also mention $50,000. WeRent states $50,000, or $100,000 with its €8-a-day cover. Most others do not publish a figure.
Common questions
What does Casco mean in Georgian car rental?
Casco is the local name for comprehensive cover of the rental car itself: accident, theft and fire. It usually comes with an excess, the amount you still pay towards damage, and separate third-party liability for damage to others.
How much does it cost to remove the excess?
WeRent charges €8 a day, which also adds glass and mirrors. RentUp's SCDW costs 25–45 GEL a day by car class. Citty sells Full Coverage, which adds tyres, glass and underbody; its Russian FAQ puts it at about $5–15 a day, and its English pages give no price.
What is usually not covered?
Tyres are the most common exclusion: Cars4rent charges €60–150 a tyre and Cheap Car Rental €100–200. RentUp excludes tyres, wheels and underbody whatever cover you add. Damage off official roads is excluded almost everywhere.
